We use clean questions and NLP modelling to teach the clean questions and NLP modelling. We challenge our own stereotypes and prejudices at all stages of course development and delivery. We ask for and accept feedback and participants will be asked to assign us developmental tasks during the course so that we are all in a state of learning.
Will I be able to use the skills at work?
Each module is very practical. The facilitators use NLP and Clean Language at work in a broad range of fields; senior management coaching, police training, education, management training, local government, bodywork and group coaching. We’re passionate about bringing these ideas into the workplace. There’ll be a section on each module for developing work applications.
Can I be flexible about when I start the course?
Pick your modules and so long as you’ve completed 200 hours including a certification weekend you can start and stop the course at any time of the year. If you are new to NLP and Clean Language we would like you to attend an introduction before you attend a module.
Why is the practitioner 20 days long?
These skills take time to practice and to apply. We believe that the most effective way to learn NLP and Clean Language is in intensive bursts with plenty of practice and feedback between modules. This is also the minimum daily requirement to cover the 200 hours for the Professional Guild of NLP to approve a practitioner certificate.
How much work is involved outside of the course?
There will be a task to complete as part of your everyday time in between modules for practitioner and master practitioner. The master practitioners will have some 1-1 coaching between modules and will have 2 meetings with the facilitators and their colleagues to test and develop their modelling projects.
I can’t afford the amount do you have any concessions?
Some of our participants who live on Merseysdie will be eligible to get up to 60% of the course fees paid by
Skills Works. There are often other voluntary kitties that can be accessed. Contact us for more details about how we can help.
We have a limited number of concessionary places for people who can’t afford the fees. Call us to discuss what you’d like to offer instead. Past participants have offered artwork, administration help, gardening, Reiki and we’re always open to ideas. It is important that these exchanges are agreed before the course starts.
If you bring along two people to the course who are paying full price we can offer a 25% reduction on your fees.
What is involved in the certification process?
During the course you will be setting yourselves and one another developmental tasks to increase your ability to demonstrate the core skills of an NLP practitioner. The certification weekend is an opportunity to demonstrate the skills you’ve developed and for the group to celebrate what they’ve learnt and make plans for the future. There is a pass/fail element to a certified course, and it’s as much our job as yours to create the conditions for people to achieve Practitioner standard. Anyone who is unlikely to achieve the certification will know well in advance and can either take a certificate of attendance or work with facilitators on a developmental plan to be certificated in the future.
I have already trained in NLP do I have to do the whole training?
No. Each module is designed as stand alone and is suitable for beginners and experts. Individual modules are an excellent way to advance your NLP Modelling and Clean Language skills, whatever level you’re starting from. Some modules will be a lot more effective if you’re familiar with clean questions.

What is Symbolic Modeling?
Symbolic Modelling helps you become familiar with your own metaphors and symbols ("I feel stuck" "I've lost my connection" “I’m walking through mud”). Symbolic modelling helps you to discover new ways of perceiving yourself and your world. When you use metaphor you are revealing something uniquely personal and meaningful about your experience. As your metaphors change, so do your behaviors, thoughts and feelings.
What is Clean Language?
Clean Language is a method developed by David Grove to dialogue with a client's symbolic representations and metaphoric expressions. What is NLP?
Neuro-linguistic programming (NLP) is a set of techniques and beliefs that adherents use primarily as an approach to personal development. It is based on the idea that mind, body and language interact to create an individual's perception of the world and that perceptions, and hence behaviors, can be changed by the application of a variety of techniques; in particular, "modelling" which involves the careful reproduction of the behaviors and beliefs of those who have achieved 'excellence'.
