Entry Level

This short course is suitable for anyone who wants to understand more about communication and miscommunication, those involved in training and teaching and those wanting to join a bright lively group of individuals to think about thinking. These introductions are a prerequisite for advanced courses.

How you think: how you make sense when someone is talking

Are you more visual (make pictures, see how things can be), Kinaesthetic (work things through your body, get a feel for them) or Auditory (sound things out, make lists in your head, talk things through)

Your short term memory, how you store things and how to improve it

Modelling time, how you organise it, how you store your past and setting a clear outcome for the future

Getting into a good state for interviews, tests etc

Managing stress and responding well in conflict

Giving clearer instructions and asking useful questions

Comments from past participants:

Anchoring worked really well for me. It’s given me an ability to manage myself in situations where I wasn’t at my best

I’ve become more aware of my own patterns and how they affect my communication with other people

It’s opened my mind – blown a load of cobwebs away

I’ve relaxed, not just here but at work as well, I’m more confident

  Funding for Merseyside Residents

It is important to us that we develop a course that enables a diverse group to attend. We therefore work hard to find funding streams to help support people who are unable to pay anything or can only pay part of the amount.

Merseyside businesses
can get 60% funding through Skills Work. Either contact us or Skills Work to see if you qualify.

Community Groups
can check with Community Foundation for Merseyside to find out what funding is available for these learning programmes.
